Who we are
Wilder Child Sky Ranch is dedicated to providing access to healthy food and family activities. As a family legacy farm, we are blessed with the opportunity to practice land stewardship while honoring the rich farming history of Boundary County.
Our Priorities
At Wilder Child Sky Ranch, we utilize regenerative farming practices to restore soil health, preserve natural resources, and protect surrounding ecosystems. This approach allows us to create the highest quality and most nutrient-dense foods.
Our Mission
The land we farm on was originally the Shelton Dairy Farm in the 1970s. After the dairy operation ceased, the land was planted with wheat. Unfortunately, monocropping, tilling, and the chemicals required to produce a marketable crop have taken a toll on the soil. Our mission is to increase biodiversity and restore balance to our farm. By focusing on the health and balance of the soil, trees, animals, air, and water, we aim to make the land resilient and able to provide for our family, friends, and community for generations to come.
Family History
Three generations work on the farm each summer, teaching business skills, fostering a positive work ethic, and instilling the confidence necessary to care for family. Our family history includes almond orchards and a cattle ranch in the 1930s, as well as the original Tindall Sky Ranch, established in Watsonville, CA, in 1890. Grandpa Weldon Tindall spent years breeding and developing the perfect boysenberry. We have those same berries planted on our farm. They may have lots of thorns, but you’ve never tasted a boysenberry like this.
